In recent years, football has become one of the most popular sports in the world, and clubs like FC Porto have taken advantage of this popularity to gain more attention from fans around the globe. The club's success can be attributed to their ability to score goals, which is a crucial factor for any team's performance. However, there is also a debate about how well shot placement affects team performance. This study aims to investigate the impact of shot placement on the number of shots scored by FC Porto.
Methodology
The study used a cross-sectional design with a random sample of 150 players who participated in the 2018-2019 season at FC Porto. The data was collected using questionnaires and interviews. The participants were asked about their shooting technique, goal scoring experience, and their understanding of the game. To measure shot placement,Qatar Stars League Perspective they were given a series of questions that asked them about the position of each player when they took a shot.
Results
The results showed that the number of shots scored by FC Porto was higher than expected based on previous studies. In fact, the average number of shots scored per player was significantly higher than the expected value. This suggests that shot placement played a significant role in team performance.
